How much power does the office of the President need?

I think it’s pretty clear that I’m no big fan of Barack Hussein Obama’s reign but I’ve always had a problem with calling him “socialist,” though I couldn’t really figure out why.  So, I looked up the definition and Oxford says:

socialism |ˈsō sh əˌlizəm|nouna political and economic theory of social organization that advocates that the means of production, distribution, and exchange should be owned or regulated by the community as a whole.• policy or practice based on this theory.• (in Marxist theory) a transitional social state between the overthrow of capitalism and the realization of communism.

It seems that while Obama definitely seeks to control the means and funding of production, distribution, and exchange he has no interest in allowing the community as a whole to own and regulate them.  I’ve recently heard another term used to describe the Obama rule which seems to be a more accurate description. Mark Levin, of http://www.marklevinshow.com, uses the term, “statist” to describe Obama and his courtiers.  This is what Oxford says about the term:

statism |ˈstātˌizəm|nouna political system in which the state has substantial centralized control over social and economic affairs : the rise of authoritarian statism.

This seems to be a much better fit to describe Obama’s policies, so I revised the Obama Joker poster, original image by Firas Alkhateeb, to reflect this update and now I’m sharing it with you.  ^^
